Protecting the Vulnerable from Violence and Exploitation.
Sub-Saharan Africa remains one of the world’s most vulnerable regions plagued by persistent poverty, political instability, corruption, conflict, and systemic human rights violations. Millions face displacement, unlawful detention, gender-based violence, exploitation by foreign corporations, and denial of access to justice.

Despite growing awareness, most victims lack legal representation or protection due to:
-
Weak and politicized judicial systems;
-
Limited access to legal aid in rural and marginalized communities;
-
Corruption and abuse of authority;
-
Cultural barriers restricting women’s participation in justice processes;
-
Inadequate legal education and advocacy mechanisms.

In Angola, Mozambique, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and other nations, vulnerable populations are exploited by uncontrolled corporate interests, land-grabbing elites, and weak state accountability. Victims often remain voiceless and powerless.

The urgent need is to empower defenders of justice lawyers, paralegals, and community leaders who can confront systemic injustice, restore faith in the rule of law, and uphold the dignity of every human being.

OHRA fills this gap by integrating humanitarian relief, legal empowerment, and advocacy for systemic reform to build societies anchored in justice and divine truth.
Operational Structure

The overarching mission of Orpe Human Rights Advocates in Africa is to restore human dignity, promote justice, and empower communities throughout Sub-Saharan Africa. OHRA pursues this mission by strengthening legal systems, training professionals in adversarial litigation and advocacy, and advancing initiatives that protect the vulnerable while confronting corruption and human rights abuses.
