Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (MNCH) – Survival & Thriving Initiative

A Call to Action for Mothers, Newborns & Children
Every day, mothers and newborns in Angola, Haiti, Sudan, DRC, and Mali face life-or-death challenges simply because essential care is out of reach. Every day in the United States, pregnant women struggling with substance-use disorders are left to navigate pregnancy alone, without treatment, without support, and without hope.

Orpe Human Rights Advocates refuses to accept this reality.
We stand where the need is greatest.
Where clinics have no midwives.
Where newborns die for lack of oxygen.
Where malnutrition steals childhood before it begins.
Where mothers give birth in fear instead of safety.
Where substance dependence separates families who want nothing more than to heal.
This is the moment to act.
A mother dies every two minutes from preventable complications.
A newborn dies every 10 seconds.
A child’s future is determined before their fifth birthday.
Recovery is possible for every mother fighting substance dependence if someone opens the door.
Our Mission is Clear: Save Mothers. Protect Infants. Restore Dignity.
The MNCH – Survival & Thriving Initiative is OHRA’s global commitment to stop preventable maternal and child deaths, starting with Angola, expanding across the world’s most underserved countries, and reaching vulnerable mothers in the United States through Project MOM.
